10+2 Postal Assistants / Sorting Assistant (PA/SA) India Post 6578 Recruitment 2015

Department of Post has decided to conduct the exam through SSC and Gazette Notification in this regard was issued on 21 May 2015. Till now, for the last 02 years exam was conducted through a private company called CMC Limited and there were lot of complaints regarding the conduct of examination. Malpractices were detected at many Circles and Re-Exams are now being held in those Circles. In view of candidates it’s a welcome move because now onwards you have to prepare for one less exam every year. SSC CHSL + Postal Assistant Exam Preparation now onwards at one go.

Staff Selection Commission has issued the notification for combined higher secondary level exam for recruiting postal assistant / sorting assistant, lower divisional clerks and data operators posts on its official web portal. There are huge vacancies for the above post so to fill this positions SSC is inviting applications from the eligible candidates. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• As per 1^st August 2015 candidates should have completed class 12^th or equivalent exam from any recognised board.

Age Limit:

• As on 1^st August 2015 the age of the candidate should be between 18 years to 27 years. Upper age relaxation is applicable as per government rules.

Pay Scale:

• Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant PB -1(Rs. 5200-20200) Grade Pay 2400
• Data Entry Operator : Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay Rs. 2400
• Data Entry Operator : Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay Rs. 1900
• Lower Division Clerk: Pay Band -1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay Rs. 1900

• For general candidates Rs 100/-
• SC / ST / PWD / Ex service man / women candidates are exempted for application fee.

Selection Process:

• Selected for the above post will be shortlisted based on their performance in the written test, those who are shortlisted will be go for skill test / typing test. Candidates who qualifies this two test will be selected by the commission.
